Medsave USA And MedeFile Join Forces To Market Web-Based Personal Health Record Solutions To Insurance Carriers

Global Insurer to Implement MedeFile Enrollments for World Travelers

April 2011

BOCA RATON, FL and LONG ISLAND, NY – (MARKETWIRE) – April 2011 – MedeFile International, Inc. (OTCQB: MDFI), a leader in Internet-enabled Personal Health Record (iPHR) management solutions, and MedSave USA, Inc., one of the nation's leading providers of healthcare cost containment and medical record retrieval services, today jointly announced that the Companies will be partnering to actively market MedeFile's patient-centric iPHR system as a value-added service to MedSave USA's global client base, which are comprised of insurance companies, health insurance companies, healthcare providers, self-insured employers, third party administrators and government payer organizations.

MedeFile will initially focus on implementing new MedeFile subscriptions for those insured by one of MedSave USA's largest clients, a global insurance carrier currently serving eight million lives worldwide. Gonen Antebi, CEO at MedSave USA, stated, "For over two decades, insurers have relied on our Company for valuable cost-containment and outsourced medical record retrieval services which allows them to effectively reduce loss adjusting expenses, improve quality control and resolve medical claims expediently. Together with MedeFile, we believe we are able to demonstrate to our clients how equipping individuals with a web-based personal health record will help promote greater patient engagement, improve clinical outcomes and ultimately save them time and money, and potentially even lives."

"Our first client intending to adopt MedeFile's easy-to-use iPHR solution will begin by providing private-labeled MedeFile memberships to those individuals that it provides short-term accident and sickness coverage when traveling outside their home country or country of permanent assignment," said Antebi. "Our client recognizes by having critical health information and actual medical records globally accessible online, including through a mobile phone or portable UBS drive, it can positively impact the quality of care a traveler may receive when they are far from home and experience a medical emergency. This presents a win-win for both the insurer and the insured."

Continuing, Antebi noted, "Our partnership with MedeFile marks an important step forward in our efforts to support universal adoption of advanced healthcare IT by our clients and the move towards ubiquitous use of personal electronic health records across the healthcare continuum."

"Words can't express how pleased we are to be forming this key alliance with MedSave USA," stated Kevin Hauser, Chairman, President and CEO of MedeFile. "MedSave USA's global reputation for excellence in delivering adaptive solutions to many of the globe's largest health insurers is sure to greatly benefit MedeFile in our mission to empower millions of patients worldwide with their health information and vital documents where and when they need them."

To provide optimal support to MedSave USA and its international clientele, MedeFile has been actively engaged in translating and localizing its web site (www.medefile.com) to accommodate member/user interface in multiple foreign languages. To date, the web site is viewable in both English and Russian; and development is currently underway on producing the site in Spanish, German and French, with other languages to follow.
